About Gary

Gary Neigeborn serves as First Vice President of Investments in the Atlanta, Georgia office of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC. Janney was attractive for him because the platform the firm embraces allows him to create the client service model necessary to benefit his clients.

Gary’s investment philosophy is to "place clients in the best position possible to grow their wealth while simultaneously managing their risk exposure." Gary builds long term relationships with his clients; many have been with him since the inception of his practice over a decade ago. By getting to know them and their families, he is in a better position to advise, educate and guide his clientele throughout their investment experience. Gary adds value by providing his clients with a partner on their personal path toward wealth creation and financial independence.

Prior to joining Janney, Gary worked at Prudential Securities where he built his wealth management practice under extraordinary circumstances. Over the course of nearly 15 years, he has advised clients through three major market downturns including the Asian Contagion in 1998, the Tech Wreck of 2000-2002 and the 2008 Credit Crisis.

Gary received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Albany in upstate New York, where he majored in History and minored in Psychology. He studied History at the graduate level there as well, focusing on 20th Century International Relations. Gary considered teaching at a university before going into the financial services industry.

In his free time, Gary enjoys film, theatre, and a good book. He is well travelled, having spent time in London (where he lived for a short time), the Netherlands, Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine. He has also travelled extensively throughout Central America, Canada and the United States. These travel experiences help to broaden his understanding of how the global economic infrastructure works with and impacts each nation’s economy.

Gary resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife Diana, daughter Michelle, and their three precious dogs, Sam, Sebastian and Stanley.
